We have had a lot of rain recently and in between the days are warm and sunny. Mother nature has erupted into a world of colorful hues. Beautiful? Yes! Comfortable? Not so much!
The pollen has gone off the charts. My car, which usually resembles a black limousine, has turned a dusty yellowish green. The kind of covering that induces mini vandals to write, “wash me” with their fingers. It does no good, however, as soon as the car exits the wash bin, the pollen has enveloped it as if it is starring in a good horror movie.
“Rosemary’s yellow baby,”
“Nightmare on any street.”
“Invasion of the auto-body snatchers,”
“Count Pollenula,
“The dulling.”
Even though no one will feel the urge to write, “wash me.” On my forehead, I too, am not at my most attractive. My eyes are red, I sneeze and cough and my throat is sore. I live on Zyrtec. Ah, the joys of allergy season.
“Night of the living dead.”
So until this natural phenomena is under control, I sit inside the house and view the beauty that is, for me, a beast.
Sorry, had to smile there, but I can feel for you while I am rubbing my sore red eyes, too! Same here with the yellow cars!
ReplyDeleteWe have at least had rain for 2 days which has reduced it a bit. Hope you soon feel better! Valerie
Crystal, I too look as if I've been crying all day. You have my sympathy.
ReplyDeleteMy son came over yesterday and said he thought something was on fire because he thought that he had seen smoke! Nope! It was just the pollen from our pine trees!!!
The flower photos are beautiful~~~
Gorgeous flowers - yucky pollen! I envy the bits of sun between the rain storms. ;^)
ReplyDeleteBeing that it rains 90% of the time here you'd wouldn't think the pollen would be that bad but, it seems we have the same problem. Lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love "rosemary's yellow baby"!!
ReplyDeleteSorry the spring sucks for you!! I HATE when the pollen gets all over the car, and everything else.
Feel good!!!
xxDaniella
Crystal, I am with you! My allergies are so bad right now, it's not funny! And, we have had alot of rain too, so it happened all at once, like you! Take Care ;o)
ReplyDeletePreciosas flores con intrigantes sombras, la primera es preciosa.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers with intriguing shadows, the first is precious.
ReplyDeleteCrystal, I hope you're not suffering too much. Knock on wood, it hasn't started yet in northeast PA. Hope you didn't get too much rain.
ReplyDeleteI love this little ACEO. The flowers look velvety. Very nice! Sorry about your allergies.
ReplyDeleteI'm suffering right along with you, Crystal, but your post did make me smile!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaaa!! I love your pictures; they are just too funny. XD You have the best sense of humor! Back in NY before we left on our trip, there was nothing. Here in Connecticut, it's like everything is blooming at once. There is a thin yellow crust of pollen on our cars; I've had to break out the benedryl already. Sigh. But it is beautiful! And the colors and the sunlight are bringing an altogether welcome lightness after the heavy dark, depressing winter. :3 I'll take the allergies, thanks, if it means spring!
