Hey diddle diddle it’s Creative Tuesday

"Moon Horse" ACEO

When my daughter was little she just loved for me to read to her.  One of her favorite books was a compilation of Mother Goose rhymes.  The other night, when the moon was full and the sky was a bit cloudy, the bright light of the moonbeams appeared and disappeared behind the clouds.  Into my head one of those old rhymes involuntarily manifested.  And as I stood there watching this celestial show, I recited to myself…

Hey diddle diddle
The cats in the fiddle
The cow (horse) jumped over the moon
The little dog laughed to see such sport
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Okay, okay, I know that it’s supposed to be the cow that did the jumping.  I’m sorry to disappoint, but you can remember it your way and I’ll remember it mine.

The theme this week at Creative Tuesdays is the moon.  Many thanks to our host, Mr. Toast and please be sure and see all the other creative entries at CREATIVE TUESDAYS

So beautiful, Crystal. You sound like me changing the nursery rhyme. I did that with Rock-a-Bye Baby for my granddaughter and she recited it my way in school and got in trouble for changing the words.

Beautiful ACEO, at first I thought the horse was a unicorn, then I put my specs on and realised it was a horse. Brilliant idea. x

Oh I do love this....Your horses are so real I can almost feel the warm breath from their nostrils.

This night scene is so mystical and lovely.

BTW ~ I like you new Nursery Rhyme. Why shouldn't a horse jump over the moon...they are much better jumpers than cows, don't you think? haha

I am absolutely amazed at the details you put into your ACEOs!

Unfortunately I failed your horsey name game miserably - but I loved the painting that accompanied your post :)

Sorry I missed commenting earlier! Re horse / cow - That's the wonderful thing about memories, they are all our own and we remember things the way they meant the most to us. Lovely image. Janet
