Paint Party Friday all day...and night

My beautiful Irises are almost finished blooming.  The inspiration from their colorful hues, however, remains. Vincent Van Gogh painted many an iris from his native Holland and in his honor for Paint Party Friday; I offer my version of the many hued flowers.  One is titled Day-ly Iris and the other; yup you guessed it…Night-ly Iris.  Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, I'm not the best of photographers.

I never tire of painting the ruffles and ridges of these flowers, and the variations, well they are just amazing!

Glad things are working the way they are supposed to work today.  Don’t think I could deal with another week of issues.  A new router arrived, blogger decided to behave, and the sun is shining so all is right with the world.   I just feel like doing nothing, but I will be late opening the store….Could it be, that I am getting distracted?   You betcha!

Visit all the wonderful art to be discovered at Paint Party Friday.   Thanks to Kristen and Eva…they are the best!

Hi
Thank You so much for visiting my Blog especially as it's my first time. Your words meant the world to me and has given me encouragement to consider keeping my art supplies out and using them.
Those flowers are remarkable in their beauty.

Your Irises are just fabulous! I love painting them too for all the same reasons. Ours don't bloom till later in the summer...can't wait. The sun is shining with beautiful blue sky here too and I'd rather do nothing but sit out on the deck and enjoy. But alas, I have errands to run. Happy PPF! :-)

I love iris too, they are such an interesting flower. In Keizer, Oregon, there is a place that sells iris and in may you can see all of the many varieties in bloom in their display gardens and choose them to order. Gorgeous! Your paintings are amazing. Happy PPF.

So, so beautiful... I love all of those beautiful ruffles and ridges - I'll never tire of looking at them :)

I love your through a child's eyes post. Tyler was outside with Bob the other day (when it wasn't raining! ha!) and he knocked on the door, dandelion in hand. I melt whenever I hear the words, "Mom, I picked this just for you."

I love irises. They're my favorite flower and I've usually got a bunch of them this time of year but because of an extensive landscaping project this year I have none. Thanks to you it's like looking out the window and seeing them in my garden.

Your iris paintings are so beautiful! Our irises just started blooming. It's our first spring here, so they will all be surprises when they pop! I'm not sure if I'll be brave enough to try to paint them. Yours turned out wonderfully!
