Sunday sketch

In between all the other things I need to get done today,  I figured I would whip up a little ACEO sketch  and then...what the heck, why not join in on Sunday Sketches at bluechairdiary.blogspot.com.  Ok, I know it's not my best.  My husband already informed me of this.  In my defense the size is an ACEO and only 3 1/2" x 2 1/2", and in colored pencil. I am thinking Spring even though we had a snow last night!  Only a dusting but very rare for this time of year in Virginia.

This little guy just reminds me of spring and all the foals being born at this time of year.

Have a great Sunday and Happy Spring!

LOLO, love the husband comments, why do we even bother? hee!
anyway, I do agree, I love it - the newness and the innocence...it all spells spring to me. And i just love that it's so tiny...too. just like a newboarn foal. great job crystal! xo

I think he's adorable and quite detailed for this size.

You say this is not one of your best? I think it is terrific and especially being an ACEO and done with colored pencils. Spring can do it's thing any time now and I'd be thrilled. I am so tired of winter.

I think your husband is silly...I can't believe you got such wonderful detail on an ATC. Lovely!

What a wonderful little guy. He too reminds me of spring and the foals that are born.

If you don't mind my asking, what is an ACEO card? I have asked at my local supply centers and they have no idea what I am talking about. I am assuming they are small cards which could be given to others as samples, but is there a specific texture, media or weight?

The little foal is beautiful, as an artist myself I would be hard pressed to do one as nice as yours so don't listen to your husband or any other naysayer. I have a daughter who criticizes me mercilessly but can't draw or paint to save her life. I think we all have at least one of them in our lives; if we didn't we'd probably be bored........keep smiling.

Wha???!? Not your best?! Are you kidding me? I think it's amazing and says so much, especially about how fragile and precious life can be. Very well done. :)

silly husband--I think it is cute:)

I am thinking Mother Nature is a bit confused. It is cold in my part of Texas and I was HOT two days ago.
